Anthony Surprised Himself

Wasn't excpecting to be back this week, but dug back into an old demo that just didn't quite hit the spot.  Chorus wasn't quite right and verse just sucked the energy out of the song.  But the vibe was there, and I enjoyed the structure (and all the heavy bits)

Reworked the chorus into something I really enjoyed, and thought I had the verse down, but after tracking it, still wasn't feeling it.  Was hoping to have it done this week, then went to the in-laws for Thanksgiving.  Kept batting it around in my head, and thought I had a verse I really enjoyed.

Found a few mintues today to at least re-tab the drums and guitars.  Still not my favorite, but better.

Imported the new drum tracks into the last session with the hopes of maybe getting to rerecord guitars before we got our Christmas Tree.  Hit play to line the drums up, and the new drums over the old guitars was 100% the vibe I was looking for.  Gave the drums some light tweaks, and here we are

I love happy accidents

Gear:
Fender USA Telecaster that I got for free (that's a story for another time)
Dunable Cyclops
Dingwall Bass
Kemper for guitars and bass (Revv and Darkglass profiles)
Superior Drummer 3

Glad to see you back! And with a pummeling banger no less. Love it.

Feel like I'm getting to know your sound, and I'm digging it.

I love the mix of angular choppy sections, which keep things interesting, plus straight-up full-out almost skate punk sections. Some builds in there as well, and other mix-ups. You do a really amazing job of keeping things interesting, and it gives me ideas!

Another sick one
