Anthony Forgot how to Play Guitar

By PantherMountain on January 8, 2022 5:30 pm

So glad to be back.  Can't wait to hear what everyone's been working on.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  2020 got me like it did a lot of people.  No time, no motivation, nowhere to play guitar.  Didn't really play guitar until we got booked to play a show in Nov 2021.  Since then, feeling good, and getting my chops back.

Work is crazy, but going to carve out a little time each week to do this and just keep it simple.  Haven't written a punk or metal song since Weekly Beats 2020, so we'll see when that inspiration strikes.  Going to be a lot less shreddy this year and putting a lot less pressure on myself.

Put this one together in 3 hours on Monday

Gear Used:
Tom Anderson Classic T
Quilter Phantom Block
Akai Mini Controller
Fender Aerodyne Bass
Bunch of free plugins

The gear train slowed to a stop w/ the pandemic.  Lost a roommate and got my pay cut.  Finally getting comfortable again, so I am overdue for something fun.

There is so much amazing shit going on here. layers and layers of instruments, each very effective and important to the song

I love the mood an texture of this. Always a fan of bells and plinks. Magical.

Wow, very cool dude.  Not sure how I didn't hear your stuff in 2020 but will definitely check out this year.

I tried to keep it simple, but everything I added just made sense to me.  Glad it made sense to you too.

Well enough, posted a whole thing about it on my submission

Nice guitar tones.

Well if it sounds this good when Anthony forgets how to play guitar I'll be totally awaiting the tracks when he remembers smile) Great note-choice and atmosphere!

Lovely arrangement and mood throughout

I didn't make hardly any music last year, I get it. This vibey dreamy goodness you made is a pretty great first week too!

Solid track. Smooth vibes. Welcome back.

ANTHONY!  This guitar is great.  I just read your profile and saw a note about cancer.  Just wanted to send a hug and hope you are doing okay these days.
