New Man

I guess I'll call this one epic industrial? Left off the movie samples this time.

This came about from getting a TD-3, and also wanting to do something with a heavily gated electric guitar like Skinny Puppy used in Dig It. Hey, if Trent can rip it off, so can I. Also, the title is a pun on who I think it sorta sounds like. I used the realtime bounce to finish the file, and adjusted synths as it rendered. I've always bounced each synth to its own audio track previous, but didn't feel like it this time.

Personally, I feel like this could use vocals, but ended up going with the trashy electric guitar melody. Maybe I'll play with it more later.

Equipment:
Sequenced in Logic
TD-3, RD-6, ProVS Mini, Wasp, Logic Drummer, guitar and bass

I certainly could hear the New Man in your track, I liked it a lot.  The guitars playing off the new/dark wave vibes worked well.  And anyone who invokes Puppy gets a big thumbs up!

This sounds great! It even evokes some of the epic classical-style tracks from In The Nursery

Thanks! Also, oh my god, how have I never listened to In the Nursery before?

This is seriously inspiring. I've listened to a lot of Rob Dougan, and have also written a fair amount of orcheastral-infused Darkwave...but it's been a long time. I know what I'm doing for week five!

I can't wait to hear it!!

I could hear this in the Crusader series of games  (the 90s "no remorse" 3/4 view one—not the one with the castles & knights)

Really love the 2:08 section a lot. The guitar sounds dope in general.

Really like the bass tone sound here, the guitar rocks too!

Thanks! The TD-3 is such a fun instrument. I love how the filters can add so much variety to a repeated bassline.

The bass guitar on this track is from Wish. I got it specifically because I wanted something more metallic and harsh. Needed some setup, but overall a good buy for $68.

enjoyed this a lot. I recently got a TD3 and I really like what you are doing with it here. the guitar is also sick. favorited

Epic is a good descriptor.
