Hail to Thee Jewel in the Lotus

This track slowly evolves around the voice sample "Om mani padme hum" ... the most famous and revered mantra in Tibetan Buddhism. It is intimately associated with Avalokiteśvara aka Chenrezig, who consciously reincarnated into the realm of gravity and time-space seperation as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. The mantra translates to "Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus," symbolizing the union of method (compassion) and wisdom.

Its six syllables carry a deep symbolic meaning:
° Om: Purifies pride (the realm of the gods) and symbolises the body, speech and mind of the Buddha.
° Mani (the jewel): Represents the intention to attain enlightenment, as well as compassion and love. It purifies one of jealousy.
° Padme (the lotus): Symbolises wisdom. The lotus grows from the mud yet remains pure. It purifies one of passion and desire.
° Hum: Represents the inseparability of method (compassion) and wisdom. It purifies one of hatred and aggression.

Essentially, the mantra expresses that by following a path that unites compassion and wisdom, one can transform an impure body, impure speech and an impure mind into the pure, enlightened nature of a Buddha.
