I'm assuming the cool beat was done on the op?  With that snap oof hell yea!  The rolling synth gives me some NIN With Teeth era vibes.  Love the trumpet harmony as well.  One row of tracks down somethin something to go! High fyvuh!

Ha.  Cool vibe to this one and love the dancing stuffed animals in the video.  They've got some pretty sick moves.  Trumpet is a fantastic addition once again.

AWWW YEAH!!! Huzzah!  1/4 of the way through!

Excellent track and video!  I hope you win the contest!

Geez, even your stuffed animals know how to dance. What's the secret? big_smile
Also, best of luck in the beat battle, and Happy Week 13 to you too!

they got moves no doubt, but nothin like when you and Frank just stop and stare intensely at the camera heart

Sick song and a fun excuse to spend a day playing with stuffed animals big_smile

The psychedelic section 1:40-ish is even more "yeah" -- what a way to close the first quarter heart

Interesting trumpet technique with the tuning slide? I have a lot to learn. Also, those beady little button eyes... gosh

supercool muppet show. The beats you`ve done are so fun and extraordinary. Good job, OD.

YEAH!

I love the way everything opens up after 1:42+; it really builds into something positive and stately(?).  The feeling I got while listening put me in mind of the untitled track on VAST's first album―but they don't actually sounds anything alike and yours is a lot more fun.

I usually don't click on WB videos, but I'm glad I did this time. tongue

Cool track and good vibes! Congrats on making it 1/4 way!

Really cool song. I like how you keep adding new bits in periodically on top so that we get this nice slow build throughout! The trumpets at the end are super satisfying. The whole thing has a nice laid back trip hop feel which I really appreciate.

Lovely Bit Crush sounds, so crunchy!!! This is just a great composition, reminds me a bit of Ratatat

yeah

is that GRID?

the siren-like trumpet was pretty unexpected to me, but gels so well

THE DOG WHO SAYS "YEAH"
THE TIGER WHO MOONWALKS
TRUMPET!!!

I think I was hypnotized by the dance moves of the tigers. And this pink monkey with the body of a baby doll. I am too sober to completely absorb this video (note i do not condone the ingestion of mushrooms of dubious origins). The beat itself is nice (i like the big bass going down especially) but this is the rest that just melts down my brain in a "what did i just watch" kind of moment.

This makes me want to see bloopers of your videos. We need a video that is only made of bloopers of your other videos, with the appropriate music.

Did i mention the dog who says "YEAH". I spillt my drink with this.

Zoo hop! Those animals got moves! Nice beat! Badass crew you got there! Guitar is perfect icing on the beat.

Thank you, my favourite track of weekly beats for this year so far, guitar and horns sound so good, love the channeling of mr. oizo flat beat on the video

That monkey with the human torso rules and those puppet strings were the thickest I've even seen.  Not very invisible but much more durable I'm sure.  Unlikely you'll lose them too.

smile

HI DREW!

that triumphant bass makes me feel like I could fly
your harmonies are great as always
I hope you win the beat battle

Great industrial sounds. Warm and chaotic at the same time. Love the bass drops/slides.  It's like a carnival of awesome!

Yeah dog

Very grungy has a really nice swing too bad I’m not a rapper because I thinks this would be a clapper

Yep, on the OP-1!  The snap was an Ableton sample.  I will take any and ALL With Teeth comparisons.  Kedbreak brought up With Teeth on the “Auditory Hallucinations” song!

Thanks, I will pass on the compliments to The Hemlock Puppets Ensemble!

Thank you!  The puppet squad is my inspiration smile

I didn’t think about it, but it’s interesting how the puppets move, and then the humans are immobile!

had to mix it up for the peoples/puppets!  thank youuu

I just recently learned that when you play a D, the trumpet will be slightly out of tune naturally, so you have to engage the slide a bit.  I’m not really sure I can even hear it, but just trying to get into the practice.  I think there are some other situations but i’m still learning!

Wow, there is a kinda rising chord progression similarity with the VAST song - really pretty song!  Never heard them before but always heard the name. // minutes later // I’m responding to more comments and came back to put this track on repeat!

Thanks I super appreciate you watching the vid.

Thank you so kindly.  Tried to make the arrangement interesting.  I’m just trying to learn how to play trumpet, so I’m just randomly throwing it in everywhere!

Oh yes, I haven’t heard a ton of Ratatat but I love their rock/hip-hop blend.  Thank you!

LOL - check Ipa’s hilarious gif below.  I’m glad that the moonwalk translated, I wasn’t really sure how to make that happen!!!  I wish I had a gif of you spilling your drink to the video smile  ha ha ha ha.  I’m so glad this video was a mind bender for you.  I’m going to have to start a blooper reel for ya smile
