What's That?

Wrote this Saturday night, and recorded the drums, guitars, singing and 1/2 of the screaming in one sitting. Today I recorded the second half of the screaming and bass and finished the mix/master.
The screamed lyrics are 15 syllables per line. In the future, I want to figure out a better way to get a wider frequency spectrum from my drum recording. I definitely will have to record more guitar/drum tracks to get better at it!
This song is written in the tradition of hardcore bands that play on the floor with the audience, instead of on the stage. The screamed lyrics depict two of my worst nightmare visions, and then empowered responses to them both. I hate to write yet another song about how I hate people for hating me, and how I’m desperately trying to rebuild my self-esteem, but I guess that is where I am at right now in my life.
This song is dedicated to my LGBT brothers and sisters and non-gendered family members in Orlando who lost their lives celebrating Gay Pride. I was really upset when I heard the news today and almost gave up on finishing this song. I was thinking about just doing a quick instrumental improv and turning that in for my submission. But, this song is about believing in yourself in the middle of a nightmare, and I can’t imagine a mass shooting in the middle of Pride month to be anything but that. I have some family members who don’t feel great about me. They’ll come around in time, but if they don’t, it’ll be fine. I wrote this song for me, but I finished this song for Orlando. Rest In Pride.
Lyrics:
Some creature stood up in a dark corner from behind the couch
Someone has followed me in the shadows for the last five blocks
They’ll come around in time
Everyone, everywhere’ll be fine.
might not come around in time
everyone, may not be alive
I am who I am supposed to be leave me alone get lost
Whatever you think of me is not real; will die in your thoughts
They’ll come around in time
Everyone, everywhere’ll be fine
I know I’ll be all right
Everything, everywhere is fine
What's that??
