Listened to this track, then went and listened to the original...then came right back here to listen again. Wow, I love this. The original has a build and power to it, and this version sort of captures that intensity of that refrain from the original and keeps it for the entire track. The slight slowdown of tempo give it INTENTION. That sort of lo-fi groove you have going is fantastic, and that pulse of the bass and drums. Favorited!
That sounded like a track that is perfect for ending credits. It has this feel of going back and reminiscing, calling back all these memories in a pensive manner. Also I liked the fireflies.

ahhh great feeling! thanks for this track, it's a rough time but this kinda music often is what makes it possible to move forward through hard times. I legit see it as pushing through NOISE and fuckedupiness to emerge above it, reflected in the music with the lofi effects, it's such a nice story/feeling told through the sound design!!!!! 
First half of the lyrics sounds just perfect for the leadup to a WeeklyBeat deadline. 
Seriously though, this is a powerful song and a really cool reimagining. Wonderful work!
Man, that sound design on this track owns. I love the distortion and the fuzzyness. So so good. And then with the punchy drums - chefs kiss!
