Great tune and vibes! I'm feeling some great psych rock energy.

Awesome! Love the guitar tone, and a great live performance. On a Monday night no less. Impressive! heart

yay!!! confounded a bit by the signal chain but the effect was rad - love that amp tone - yum!
hi frank i forgot what week we are on already too!

So the N in DnB stands for Nintendo...cool. big_smile
Sick beat for this one! Great to hear your guitar and vocals on this one too. And props for the quick turnaround time!

...I guess this isn't dnb so my joke makes no sense. My bad. tongue Sorry for the confusion. Cool song either way!

Damn, that is some noisy stuff!

Really like the dreamy vocals, the guitars, synths... Nice electro-punk vibes.

I like the combination of guitar nintendo drums.  Guitar sounds awesome, by the way.  Sweet tone.

massive shoegazer sound, nice work

The gear nerd in my enjoyed the explanation of the setup. The little CRT tv is the highlight of the whole rig in my heart.
I got a strong NIN vibe from the chord tone and progression. Of course the electronic parts contribute to that effect as well! The layering is good, with that high fast lead synth deep in the mix, which adds a lot of energy. It sounds a bit like a closing track on a NIN album, where the vibe is different towards the end, with less aggression, more diffused energy, and a hint of nostalgia. I like that format of videos!

Wow, an NES in this track?? So cool. I'm still waiting... for next week's Orange Drink!!

So, I guess you ARE making a video every week in 2024?  ;-)

Even if you don't perform your song live, or make a MUSIC VIDEO, I'm glad you post the video explanation.  Knowing about all the wires and gadgets and understanding your process really adds a deeper level to the song.  Congrats on the tube-amp!

saw dis on da tubes but wanted to say the lovely guitar gave me some more late 90s grungy rock vibes ala NIN meets Smashing Corgans and Soundgarden.  The progression took me back a bit to the ending of "I'm afraid of Americans".  Hi-fi to you and Frank!

Wow, this track rocks and was a very cool, innovative approach to bring very different styles together in an effective way. Nice job!

"...adding a little bit of reverb to the vocals" lol

this sounds really good, especially the guitars and vocals, love the overall vibe, nicely done

a wonderful collection of gear all coming together for a wonderful track! such a big sound it really puts me in a dreamlike state!

Great vocals - love the percussive blips coming in around 1:40.

Okay, but hear me out
more NES sounds
and more guitar
- Ebrit

yeahhh I love seeing you rock out!

So excited to hear as soon as I heard the nintendo nonsense! Such a cool wacky setup!
Nice song and sweet performance! It's cool to see you mix up the instruments and styles!

I like how the beat with the frequent white noise matches the contradictory lyrics. I'm still waiting vs convo is over.

Dope alt punk song, v on brand!

YO emojis work now, so I can truthfully say this track was 👟👀🎸👾🔥🔥🔥

Well done!

I've sampled this track under the CC Attribution Noncommercial Share Alike (BY-NC-SA) license for my upcoming track “α - β - γ - δ - ε - ζ - η - θ - η - ζ - ε - δ - γ - β - α”.

If I am to re-sample “α - β - γ - δ - ε - ζ - η - θ - η - ζ - ε - δ - γ - β - α” again for future work, I will just put the attribution in the new track, as not to spam the comment field of this track with more than one comment, that is; unless you request me to also put it here again.

!!!!! Congrats on the amp! Another great song, love the hybrid NES setup, wow!!! I agree with Devieus on more guitar, I guess I'm just enjoying imagining what I think this song sounds like live in the room with that Fender Twin cranked. O yes, rippin

great tune, love the sporadic midines percussion hits on toms, cowbell, woodblock throughout

Love the counterplay between the bleeps/bloops and the guitar and vocals. This rocks!

Those drums are heavy!

wall of sound love it man, killing it as always!

A rock star!

The waiting is over now?! Happy to hear/see the guitar. Cool new amp! Sounds aweseome. NES controlled by octa, cool idea and brought nice juxtaposition of sounds against the cronchy guit. I like the fade to black - like waiting ...  then Frank in ear muffs! Ear muffs are awesome. I don't have hair so have to cover the top part too. Hat and muffs is a winner.

You're killing it! I dig the live approach. Nice to see you orangedrink!

I love the lyrical contradiction. Adds such great tension, and makes you feel it. Classic OD sounds. Favorited!

Love the grungey vibe and energy !

EYYYY ORANGEDRINK! This track has so many great components; a clean comfy grit, a chiptune bounce, a sturdy bass, vocals from a far away imagination and a roaring guitar!

smile hard to see but the MIDINES program actually does visuals so that was all reacting to the pattern.

really kind words to say that it’s an NIN closer, NIN always has amazing closers: Hurt, Ripe (with decay), Right Where It Belongs, THE BACKGROUND WORLD (i love that ending!!!)

Frank found the ear muffs in the back of the closet and we were like, “Ear muffs are genius how come we don’t use these more often?”

Oki smile Sampled again for this week's track “α - β - γ - δ - ε - ζ - η - θ - ι - κ - ι - η - ζ - ε - δ - γ - β - α”

This was so cool. I wish I could hear the NES parts a little more, but of course I'd say that big_smile
Forgot to say on week 2 that the warbly guitar sample was really great.

Wow, this is an elaborate one.  Those chip arps work surprisingly well in this song.  Big fan of the huge reverb on the vocals too.

You're not alone in that!  It was tough because I wasn't able to mix the guitar/vocals after the fact since they were both in one channel.  Thanks!

Thanks, I was cracking up that I actually said "a little reverb"

The project would be much lesser without that white noise smile

Hihi, I hope your perks go up with each re-sample, which there will be plenty of if I'm able to keep up my efforts.

Sampled again for the week's track “α - β - γ - δ - ε - ζ - η - θ - ι - κ - λ - μ - λ - κ - ι - η - ζ - ε - δ - γ - β - α”.

Sampled again for this week's track “α - β - γ - δ - ε - ζ - η - θ - ι - κ - λ - μ - ν - ξ - ν - μ - λ - κ - ι - θ - η - ζ - ε - δ - γ - β - α”.

Sampled again for the week's track “α - β - γ - δ - ε - ζ - η - θ - ι - κ - λ - μ - ν - ξ - ο - π - ρ - σ - ρ - π - ο - ξ - ν - μ - λ - κ - ι - θ - η - ζ - ε - δ”.

Sampled again for this week's track https://weeklybeats.com/artist/music/----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5

Sampled again for this week's “α-β-γ-δ-ε-ζ-η-θ-ι-κ-λ-μ-ν-ξ-ο-π-ρ-σ-τ-υ-φ-χ-φ-υ-τ-σ-ρ-π-ο-ξ-ν-μ-λ-κ-ι-θ-η-ζ-ε-δ-γ-β-α” and for next week's “alpha ⋰ omega ⋱ alpha”

Sampled again for the 10th (and, most likely, final) time for next week's track “phase 1”, concluding Q1. Alas, this conversation might be over, but it's not unlikely that others will follow.

Thanks for your inspiring sound!

i adore this progression and the midines drums are just perfect with this whole vibe
