OKOKOK

Wrote this in the car on the OP-1 on the way back from a trip to Oklahoma.  Took me a while to sequence the beat/melody because I was playing it in the dark and couldn't figure out how to bring the lowest note up while keeping the rhythm the same; my hands kept wanting to do something else!  The beat is exactly the same as the melody.  For each note, there is an accompanying drum element.

Really tired from travel (and week 18?!?!) so kept it simple with a modest arrangement.  Recorded some live edits on the OP-1 and then edited a few things after the fact in Ableton.  I always listened to slowed down/sped up versions of tracks while working on them, so this was fun to actually include it in the track.

I'm so exhausted.  Thanks to everyone who is still continuing to make music on here!  I'm overdue on listening to your tracks, I'll catch up soon heart

This song is full of surprises and not modest in arrangement at all:-) It has every in it that makes you listen to it twice, three times ...

Great track dude! big_smile

Digging the tempo change

Do you do any shows when you travel?  If so, next time your in Oklahoma let me know; I would totally come to hear.

Very playful with Some twists and turns. Like it a lot!

Great track, the tempo changes are a very cool and unexpected twist.

Great work smile

I'm really digging this one a lot.  It's very catchy.  The tempo change threw me for a loop at first, but it's a neat touch. Great usage of travel time to compose this.

Whoah, dude! That OP-1 magic took me completely by surprise. As many said before me, there's a lot going on in this song even when it seems to start from a really simple idea.

Never used a OP-1... Would it be nice to jam together while having a couple of beers!

Peace!

Wow, great to hear that!  Just goes to show that the music can reveal more to a listener than it does to the author!

Oh wow, I had no idea you were around there!  I was only travelling for a short visit, but will definitely play a show next time!

Thanks.  Yeah, I think once you know this is coming, you can get prepared and not get disoriented.  Hopefully this will encourage repeat listens from listeners!
