In My Mind

By orangedrink on May 20, 2018 10:36 pm

Baritone guitar and OP-1.  Super real lyrics.  Hope you like it.  Watch my music video and please consider buying a T-Shirt if you haven't already!  Reduced shipping for overseas!

LYRICS:
I was supposed to be successful by now
I thought I wouldn’t weigh as much as I do
I thought I’d have friends and a meaningful relationship
Somehow this all worked differently…

I should have thrown away all the junk in the house
Going to sleep should be less difficult
I would have gone on a vacation by now
You should have seen how these things played out…

…in my mind.

Gonna wait.
One day.

Great track, percussion really drives the piece in satisfying way, bless the OP1. Reminds me a bit of Fazerdaze.

ps. Music Video is great! Mad props on having the patience to do pixelation animation, that is a looooong process. Worth it for that end result tho!

Those lyrics are definitely relatable.  I like the kind of indie rock vibe of it too.  Oh yeah, I can't remember if I commented on the music video yet but I watched it a couple weeks ago and it is very impressive.  Nice job on that, too for sure.

Sounds great legend... would loves me an OP-1... lucky Mr Orange man!

This it's definitely relate able really powerful and catchy track hopefully I pick up a shirt tomorrow after I get paid

This is one seriously catchy tune!!!
Great lyrics, great harmonies, great everything! Voice sounds very good too!

Why aren't you on the charts? This is excellent.

Really like the combination of the indie guitar and the OP-1 beat. Well done.
Great vocals, perfect for this type of track!

I had missed the video, great work on that. Love the stop motion.

Excellent song! Great lyrics and IMO very nice late 90s vibes going on here smile I really liked the music video too!

Layers on layers on layers. This sounds phenomenal. Great job!

Great job! i love those drums in the interlude where they are thinner and sound really like synth drums. And that rattle is excellent!

Nice one! Love the lyrics, very relateable indeed. Very catchy track. Good production - the OP-1 sounds are nice balance to the guitar, makes for some good Orange Drink rock. This one could flow with the one you did the video for, a sound people will like I think.

this is really frickin good, man.

Great catchy beat! Love that rapid click/trill percussive sound. Contrasts well with the very fluid guitar sounds. Downloading.

This is amazing. The whole thing comes together so well.

Life is hard.

Excellent mix of the acoustic & electronic elements.  The chorus is super catchy and had me humming along.  Suhweet filter sweep that re-energizes the track and outro even more.  Nice job!

this is extremely cool, the chanting and the relentless beat gives this a nice kraut/Neu/Michael Rother vibe. Mixed with certain type of pop sensibility... in a good way smile  Very impressive.

whoa super cool stuff!! this is the first rock-ish music i've come across on weeklybeats. love it so much! my roommate was listening along (not knowing this was weekly beats) and was really excited and wanted to know what this was. we're both super into it smile

smile  what a difference a day makes eh?

listening to this again and still loving it big_smile

vocal fx dialed in perfectly - you've really been getting great sounds out of the baritone in all the recordings
