so glad to hear you and Frank are doing ok and keeping it real in order to allow yourself space to feel through these difficult times. we love you! (i've also been distracted and out of it, but always glad to be able to come back here and check your stuff out - lifts me up instantly, thank you for keeping it going so strong!)
keep the faith, keep ya head up! and this track is some badass heavy-driven energy! LOVE IT!
Good to see you back and get the cardboard getting crossed out! Take your time and I agree - making art is the best way to deal with difficult times. Shut down the conscious mind and let the unconscious take over.
You got quick a sick sound from this NES - 8bit chaos. Adding the bass to it took me to the vibe of some NIN tracks, how they are built with a repeating beat and layers ebbing in and out of the track, and how the bass is usually very prominent. Also I need that suit with the glowing red tubes. That looks awesome. Good track, loved the melodies and general feel of this track.
I love the combination of chiptunes and your bass and guitarplaying. the awesome energy of this track is an antidote to burnouts. I wish you the best for your future projects.
I really get the need to take a break from video intros and comments. It's impressive you were able to soldier on making videos when you probably weren't totally feeling it. My pets will always be important to me and I will always be devastated by their loss. I like that you combined the chiptune elements with the guitar and bass. I do enjoy the straight-up old school nes tracks some people make, but I like how you took it in a different direction.
Yo yo who else is here from you tube!? 1st! no?
Good to have ya back, i personally missed the intro and square checking. I agree with Kedbreak136, the 8bit beat has a nice NIN_percussive tightness especially when the guitar and kick/snare are going at it. Something that easily could have slipped into the With Teeth era Looking forward to next week! High fivah!
Great work on this week's track, and great to hear your voice again. I can empathize with the pain of losing a pet, and I'm wishing you the best.
Very nice green screen that you built there drew! World of new possibilities for your videos. love this mix of chiptunes and organic bass and guitars.
take care!
Glad you guys are doing ok, very fun video, great job blending the clean guitar with the bit-crushed goodness.
hope you and Frank are doing well, burnout is real and resting is important.
Catching up with your WB after several weeks..love this music video! The chiptunes glitch silhouette is such a cool aesthetic. The little perklunky glitchy 808 (?) drum fills towards the end are also really cool, I could imagine that building into a whole second drum layer
This reminds me of every time I would loose at tank battle on Atari when I was a kid. Best bass sound and riff ever!! Rocking beats and video! the last third really takes off! This is anything but Burnout... favorite track of the year!
...track title relatable on multiple levels. The track's absolutely amazing and back when I heard it I think I wrote "BANGER" then put a question mark, then wrote "SAD" in front of it and erased the question mark but erasers aren't what they used to be so it said SAD BANGER w/ a faint but clearly visible question mark at the end. Video confirms some feelings at least.
The arp is unbelievable and the dancing is perfect. Silhouette of the bass playing is the shit.
