White and Gray

By onezero on December 16, 2018 11:23 pm

This week contained a lot of activity--pre-holiday parties, the school semesters winding down, and (suddenly) a furnace that has to be replaced. Still, I managed to carve out some time for a track, and much as Devieus mentioned in a comment last week, it seemed like a good idea to use at least some of the same working methods as last week's piece. So once again, here's something at 96 bpm, with three tracks of almost-Fahey-tuned Univox (B F# B F# B D).  Unlike last week, I went straight into the board, as well as throwing some baglama-tuned (G g D D A a) Heit Deluxe into the mix, and approached with a slightly sparser frame of mind.

All guitars went through Auto-Filter (high-pass with some drive), and there are two drum kits: 32 Pad Rock Kit, and 64 Pad Rock Kit.  Both went through Drum Buss.  Sends are two convolution reverbs (incoming lows cut with Auto-Filter) and two Echo (one with Auto-Filter in front, modulating a bandpass).  Full-chain master on everything, and some automation.

Title from the two varieties of tin (white and gray).  And here's to getting a new furnace tomorrow.

Deep and melifulous, not at all tinny (someone was going to say it).

Yea, it's too clear for that tinny sound.

So are you going to do something festive with antimony?
