Sweet Concluder

By onezero on May 4, 2014 3:44 am

A little melodic motif I've had kicking around in my head.  Univox Effie in Fahey C tuning (dropped a half step to B), both humbuckers on into the Focusrite.  Touch of compression, tiny bit of Frequency Shifter tremolo, two long reverbs (one with auto-pan).  Did some takes (sometimes interrupted by the Focusrite driver throwing digital distortion over the take--what's up with that?), picked the last one, and uploaded, little timing wavers and all.

Title lifted from this menu prank.

Thank you!  That's the heirloom sugar messed with free-range oxide.

Chilled it is - nice contrasts after your Engage from last week.

Very relaxing track that I could sit out on the back porch in a hammock enjoying the sunset.  Aptly named track and nice job!  The guitar sounds superb!  smile

Thanks!  Yes, I do like to change things up a bit from week to week.

Glad you like it!  Actually, I'm wrong--not a Univox Effie, but a Univox Coily.  (Red)  In any case, yeah--it's a heck of a $60 guitar, especially in this tuning.  Thanks!

Very nice track! And a lovely guitar sound, I would never have guessed that was a $60 guitar.

Thanks! $60 is what I paid for it (used) some years ago.  It was before eBay became a big thing (or maybe even before eBay was a thing at all), and as a young and broke person, it was a good fit for me.  Kind of mind-blowing how they've appreciated since then, but I guess it's that they're decent cheap guitars. (The pickup covers are chrome- plated plastic, for instance, not metal.) if you find one cheap, go for it.
