Perfect Matching

By onezero on April 12, 2020 8:37 pm

Another collage-style piece--I'd started with some syncopated rhythms (jazz drum rack with Drum Buss), and...wasn't sure what to do after that.  I added some keyboards (fake Rhodes and fake grand piano), did two passes of clean Res-O-Glass (through Vox Wah, inline Auto-Filter and Cabinet), and Epi P-J bass (inline EQ-8 with bass rolloff).  And...it's a mood, maybe.

Sends: Delay, Echo (long ambience), and convolution reverb (with high-pass Auto-Filter in front).

Title comes from the 15 perfect matchings of the complete graph K6.

Oooh—digging the syncopation.

Swanky! Love that snare pop. Great bass and drum groove.

Flawless matching of instruments.

i really like how the groove is nearly falling apart but it doesn't.  Gives it some extra swagger. big_smile. Cool vintage sounding bass tone too.

That bass. Nice 8).Some of the plucks at the end remind me of a horn blowing briefly. I'm not a bassist or horn player.
