Morrow

Sitting down Friday night without a particular thought in my head, I found myself moving a double stop around the G and B strings, leading me to working on something outside of my typical key centers. (Maybe it's Bb major, but I don't spend a lot of time on Bb in this piece. I'll have to work it out.) Pretty quickly this seemed like more unified material than some pieces, and the sections flowed together fairly quickly. The order in which the parts appear here, is pretty much the order in which I wrote them, and there wasn't a lot of massaging in the editing.

Three tracks of PureSalem Mendiola (old version): neck pickup (center), bridge pickup (right), both pickups (left). No pedals, just straight into the UA Volt, due to laziness. There's the usual convolution reverb send from each channel, and the usual compression/eq/limiting on the stereo mix.

The title comes from NY's Morrow Mountain, with an elevation of 653m.

The shift around 1:56 ish where things unite for a few moments, then again 2:50
Beautiful, so well executed

Nice.

I like the playing a lot. My two cents, it really cool as it is, but without a bass guitar, I feel you could let more of low end on your guitars, it probably? would beef out the sound a bit.

And for this style with lots of space, I'd even send more to the reverbs. smile

Very nice anyways!

Ooh yes love those chords at 1:39 and how it leads into the next uplifting section.  Excellent nostalgic feel with the melody and soothing chord progression. Well done!

Very pretty tones and nice playing on this
