Lord of the Earth

By onezero on October 4, 2020 11:53 pm

How's everyone doing? By the time the weekend came around...I was fairly distracted. But here's an all-in-the-box piece. Initially I was inspired (by the recent Ableton video) to try to do an all-Collision piece, but I couldn't get the sound design right on the snare. So...the drums are a hybrid of Collision and Operator, while the bass, bowed-string/pad and lead voices are all Collision, built up by editing the default and avoiding presets.

Sends: one Echo, one Delay, and the latest Valhalla Supermassive. No inline stuff other than some Auto-Pan, though there's Full-Chain compression/eq on the output.

Title from the fact that the ancient Sumerian god Enki was referred to in writing by the ideogram number 40, though the name is usually translated as "Lord of the Earth."  (It's also pleasing that the track length is 4:00.)
