Herculina

Last week saw the addition of a new pedal, while this week sees an update to Ableton Suite 12. (The Reuss Effects Understate is here, too, on some sections.) The guitar here is the PureSalem Mendiola in standard tuning. It's been a while since I've changed up the format; I might be due for a new approach soon. In the meantime, though, this is what's come out: starting with a few fingerpicked motives, responding to them with counterpoint or chords, responding to those two lines, then muting one and responding to the responses. Eventually a piece comes together. This one has some dramatic peaks I rather like.
As usual, there's convolution reverb (via Max For Live; sadly the previous version I was using no longer works, but the standard M4L Convolution Pack does all the same stuff, and even has the same impulse files. Live 12 has the expected audio effects racks, including the pseudo-finalizing compression/eqs, and one shows up here on the stereo out.
The title comes from the minor planet 532 Herculina.
