Gemini

A piece that accumulated organically over the course of the week. While Monday morning before work I had a little guitar figure in my head (and recorded it before leaving), I ended up building the piece up from some little drum figures, both with dry drum kit samples and Rhythm Ace samples.  I added hand claps, tabla samples, and tambourine, some Rhodes and Clavinet for bass, and then some sparse melodies with Rhodes and vibraphone.  Late in the week, I tracked bass (leaving the Rhodes/Clav bass lines) and guitar (Res-O-Glas, straight to the board, but one with wah and Reuss RF-01).

Sends: two convolution reverbs, one with modulation, Filter Delay, and my friend Max's new tap-modulation delay Damaged Memories--you can hear that a lot on the clean guitar.  There's also some automation on the drum kit and Rhythm Ace, to the filter delay. All MIDI instruments got M4L Humanizer, and everything got auto-pan, as well as the usual Full Chain Master on the Master channel.

A tricky one to arrange, but it kind of flows.  Title from the fact that M35 is in Gemini.

Very nice groovy chill track!
This slightly noisy (reversed bells?) sound you have in background now and then really adds some nice extra atmosphere...

Thank you! That's actually my playing the low E string behind the bridge on the Res-O-Glas guitar, through fuzz and wah. It had a compelling resonance.

this is some nice dark jazz.  kinda evil.

Yeah, as orangedrink says. Smooth but with a 'don't fuck with us' vibe smile
