Further Discoveries in Air

With this week's getting-caught-up-after-Thundersnow activities...I wasn't coming up with much until late in the week, when I started playing around with some drum patterns with the Korg Minipops samples (with gate and drum buss). Everything ended up in-the-box: a tom voice from the new Wavetable synth, a bunch of Analog pads, bass in Operator (settings lifted from a yoctonaut track I did for my 2017 weekly tracks), vocoder on a return channel, attached to another Analog pad, and another sparse Operator voice.  Sends were convolution reverb (with high-pass auto-filter) and Echo (LFO band-pass filter).  Everything got full-chain master.

Title from Joseph Priestly's publication describing his oxygen-isolating experiments, because oxygen is element 8.

More subdued and relaxing than I would have expected from such a reactive element. Looking forward to Fluorine! ::)

Thank you!  This suggests that maybe I do something around the theme of FOOF...

Digging the cripsness! Thanks for the tips on auto filtering the sends, will have to try that.

Thank you!  I think the gate on the drums also contributes to that crispness...though we all know the potential dangers of gated drums.

Sweet drums espacially this filtered snare... i am tempted to resamble it with my mouth wink
and i like this playfull synth...

The song sounds pretty clean and minimalistic to me. Nice early 90ies electronic music vibe in the air.

A sly satisfying groove with lots happening to discover, and it all fits so nice in the mix - well done.Love that idea of Vocoder on return channel, feel like there's a lot of potential in using returns creatively. Catching up on some of your tunes, enjoying!

Made me feel like I was eating pop rocks with my ears. Nice track.
