Fleetwith Pike

This one is the result of a couple of sessions, late Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. I picked up the PureSalem Mendiola and plugged it straight in, coming up with the harmonics-and-fretted-note theme that appears in the left channel at 1:18, and started responding to that. Turns out it was in 3/4, so we have a kind of waltz here. Unlike some pieces, this one came together really quickly--not a lot of jigsaw work in editing. While last week's piece seems like a new direction, this one is in keeping with the pieces before. (I've had unsatisfying compositional results when I go back to the well with the same bucket right away.) So this doesn't break any new ground, but it's a nice mood.
Three tracks of PureSalem Mendiola into the UA Volt 1. Nothing fancy, just some sends to a large room convolution reverb, and the compression/eq/limiting on the stereo.
The title comes from the Fleetwith Pike fell, with a 648m elevation. (I've never been there, but it'd be interesting to see.)
