Emlagh Loop

This week the hollow Univox and Fahey tuning were still calling to me, so here's a track featuring even more fingerpicking. This one came together quickly in two sessions of writing (late Friday and late Saturday), though editing was a bit tricky with some sections beginning on an off-beat, requiring a continuation across the bar from the previous section. There's also a subtle key change in there, with the two keys fairly discrete, though one section from the second key needed to be augmented with a theme I recorded for the other section. It fit fine, apart from two instances of the same note, which I cut.

The feeling here...is rather more peaceful and occasionally buoyant than I've been feeling this week. I think the music appeared this way to give me what I needed, instead of reflecting my state of mind.

Again, no effects other than convolution reverb (bright theatre) and compression/eq effect rack on the stereo.

Also once again the track title is a place name in Ireland, a walking loop that intersects the R567 a couple times. It seems like it'd be a nice walk to take.
