Double Star

Another one without ideas until very late in the process. I had some rhythms in mind, and put them up late Friday evening (Ableton 64-pad Jazz kit drum rack), which didn't sound right until I cut the tempo in half. Saturday I put down some sparse guitar (PureSalem Mendiola through Moyo volume pedal), going through Echo plugins and going to the Fort Worden cistern impulse reverb.  On Sunday I tracked Epi P-J bass (usual EQ-8 rolloff).  The second (lead) guitar didn't tend to work--I impulsively changed the key late in tracking the rhythm guitar...and so we have a lot of reverse and pitch manipulation, rather than a composed line. But it adheres to the goal of keeping to just four tracks.

Inline effects: Max Humanizer and Drum Buss on drums, Auto-Filter, Cabinet, and Echo (Diffiused Long Cascades preset) on rhythm guitar. Black Rooster Magnetite on lead guitar. EQ-8 on bass.

Sends: Fort Worden impulse convolution reverb, Echo, room-sized convolution reverb. Full-Chain finalization on the output.

Title from NGC 30, a double star in Pegasus.
