This week brought limited time and energy for a piece, but this piece arrived, and feels like a slow, sparse reflection of the end of summer and beginning of autumn. Three tracks of PureSalem Mendiola, some convolution reverb, and a slow tempo. A couple sections lent themselves to an early start--fractionally ahead of the bar line, because of long gaps at the end of the previous phrase. I went with the intuitive solution of beginning the next phrase when it felt right, not when the DAW bar lines said.

The title's from one of the highest paved passes in Ireland, which is reached by the R560.

Very relaxing to flow along. Think the intuitive solution worked well (and usually does)

Really beautiful

Not just the end of summer, it's also right for the end of the day.

Nice calm and interesting piece, the layers so well together. The recording sounds good rich and full. Does sound like a nice reflection for the end of summer, transition to fall.
