Beaumaris

By onezero on June 9, 2024 10:50 pm

Kind of a slow and sparse piece, tracked in two sessions: a short late-Saturday-night and a brief Sunday afternoon session. (For scheduling reasons, Saturday was a very long day with a very early start, so...I might have been running on fumes a bit by the time I tracked.) Three tracks of PureSalem Mendiola, no effects, but consistent use of the UA Volt 1's vintage tone circuit. There's also the usual convolution reverb and multi band eq/compression on the stereo mix.

The title comes from the town of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey, on the A545 road.

Very nice, I could easily listen to a whole album of this. Reminds me of a movie or video game soundtrack but I can't remember what exactly...

Thank you! Glad you like it! I've actually put out two collections of these kinds of pieces, and I'm prepping a few more.

Thanks, I will purchase these soon!

really lovely recording, Maurice. i like this pace and space  heart

ya the pace is lovely - especially since you were noting you were kinda rushed - i think you found the calm heart

I really like the use of interesting harmonies between the left and right guitar tracks.  Creates a really interesting ambience, and makes the dark sections really hit.  Very nice track.
