Sliced cheese grill

By ONE HIT KILL on April 24, 2024 3:34 pm

One hit kill aka one cheese grill
Sampled and sliced.

I cant get sample clearance on other peoples music, so I made a beat by sampling my own music from previous releases I've put out. Truth be told, this entire One hit kill thing was just an elaborate ruse to generate a wealth of content I can sample royalty free wink

Ive been having so much fun with the PO-133 (the street fighter one that is basically po-33 sampler with some capcom fanboy shit that hits me right in the feels). The PO-12 rhythm is backing it up here as well but the bulk of things are the sampler.

Tracks used were:
GBKombat
Uncle Chicken
fylf
Bitmap revolver

Dear god, you did this with Pocket Operators? Great grit, sounded huge. I’ve always sorta dismissed the PO line as bleepy toys but I was OBVIOUSLY WRONG. Great track!

Stunned by the depth and intensity of this beat. Great work! big_smile

They ARE totally dismissible bleepy toys, you are not wrong at all. And the build quality; trash.
However, the sampler one is a beast. The speed you can slice a sample into usable transients to put something together is really good. You can do a full dawless track on it, and backup your work with data transfer unlike other PO's. The other one I used, the rhythm, is just a generic drum machine so usable as well.

This is super fun and the lofi nature of the KO-133 makes it perfect. A lot of times people will add such grit with DAW plugins. Here it's organic!
