Pearl's Girl (Underworld Cover)

By omegachild on February 9, 2014 11:49 pm

This one is a cover of one of my favourite Underworld tunes from back in 1996! Took me ages to figure out the chord voicings and main atmos synth in this one. I did the vocals myself and I'm hiding behind lots of autotune and distortion/tape saturation. It reminds me of dirty warehouse raves back in the day. I really dragged out the end because I just love those chords and I get lost in that epic atmos. Had to cut this one down to 192kbps because of the upload limit. I'm going to upload a higher quality version on my soundcloud. Keen to hear your thoughts guys! Cheers

Aah crap something went wrong with the bounce and the bass synth at the start is blowing it's load too early.

wow... this was a hell of a trip! Much respect for doing an Underworld cover in this extraordinary quality!!! I'm blown away....

Ah yes 96 was a special year for me in discovering music. (Orbital, Underworld, Aphex, etc)  Really cool cover of the song. Love the synths towards the end when it breaks down.  Well done! smile

Cheers guys yeah I fucking love underworld and all that 'old' electronica, (cant believe i'm saying that). Best years IMO. I hope the 90's comes back haha
