Waiting

By OleJazzer on November 15, 2020 6:36 pm

This one is named ‘Waiting.’ I recorded the main guitar part with my Les Paul. The neck pickup set on humbucker and using a phaser and a little reverb. The embellishing part was the same guitar using both pickups with the neck set on humbucker and the bridge set on single coil with the tone rolled off treble a little.
The trumpet was recorded with two microphones. One had no effects. The other had a little reverb and a little delay. I used a Harmon mute and half/quarter valve techniques (a’la Miles Davis - who else?)
As usual the piece came to me over a few days, then I just recorded it.

A little quiet, but it's got a nice intermezzo feel.

Thanks It’s been a while since I recorded my trumpet
