Assault Pickup

This is the first tune I've done with my new studio setup. I used my 1964 Gibson ES-175 I bought in 1973 and a Heil PR 22 Microphone I got a while back. I'm gradually learning Reaper along with all the other toys I got. Reaper is the only other thing I used for this recording. The mic is straight through the Tascam 4x4 interface and the guitar goes through one channel of a Mackie Mix12FM to the same Tascam interface. The reverb on the vocal is part of Reaper. there isn't any on the guitar. Yep - fat body guitar no effects.
I was tuning my 1964 El Camino (something I think is fun)  and this song is the result.

Should have sampled the motor running and played along to that.  Haha.   Entertaining lyrics.
Suss out getting your volume levels up in Reaper so your final mix has more punch etc.  Helps the overall sound of your songs.  smile

Thanks, I’m still struggling with mixing in Reaper. Volume levels are an issue for me right now. I thought it was a humorous song. I’m attracted to writing funny things.

Rad guitar and truck! Like the lyrics and vocals! That guitar has tone to spare.

Thanks. Nothing like a fat body jazz guitar.

Despite the low volume, great song with great guitar.

Thanks. I’m working on getting a handle on the volume issue.
