This is a contender for best track title of the week.
This is giving me the feel of an RPG on the Atari ST.
Slain by a grue.
This is pretty upbeat and chippy (chipper?) overall, especially considering the (amazing) title. I really love the sustained chords under the busy lead and simple percussion. Relaxed and optimistic sounding, as though the shirt is an acceptable consolation prize for getting slaughtered. Nice listen & t-shirt idea.
And then you have to pay the shirt off your back to be brought back at the altar of light, it's a grift as old as time.
