This is the Solo that Never Ends...........

During previous weekly beats I did lots of sound-alikes and 'pastiches' but there was one band I avoided on purpose, the insane, mighty Necrophagist. Probably my favourite modern shred guitarist, and there's one song in particular, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50vL1uAXn7s

So the mission was, lots of alternate picked riffs, at a fairly quick tempo. Get them rhythm chops working, and then attempt a loooong ass solo. There's a few changes to play over, I picked a riff that is long and although all in E minor, has long sections on particular chords to try to sit on the 'modal' patterns around E, a break, back to it and then over a faster section, all the while trying to keep some semblance of a 'written' lead. I'm not the Necro guy, but Im trying lol.
All my Rev G Dual Rectifier, a tubescreamer and a little delay, and a lot more time working on the mix this week, I was meant to do real world stuff on Sunday, but hadn't yet gotten in to the swing of my mix and master, so glad I spent some actual time on it.
