Week 3 of teenage worship tunes.

No points for guessing this one, this one is getting way too close to actual "blatant ripoff" instead of "inspired by" but what can you do.

The big change this week is I'm usually very 'mids are for the weak' ( #midsarefortheweak) but the secret to a slayer style is a neutral mid amp that you then hit super hard with an eq on frown face setting. I started this on my Laney Ironheart, but had some computer issues that meant weird pops and fizzles, so by the time I restarted the whole fucking project and re-tracked everything, I ended up on the dual rectifier again. Because I love it. Seriously, man on mesa love here. Its actually a bit creepy.

And because of the shortened time frame of having to start again from scratch, it was just two takes of leads, and not being too precious about it.

Nice! Weekly dose of extreme metal! Dual Rectifier is perfect for that sound! What guitar do you use?

Cheers dude, this was all my Ibanez S series. It was meant to be my new Hamer V, but computer problems meant i had to turf everything and track again!

Nothing more meditative than high speed heavy metal.

Brutes, killer tones too
