Ripping Yourself Off

Another soundalike, but this is a soundalike of an old band I played in 15 years ago, we were ridiculous Black metal with stupidly long songs with very little repeated riffs, it was more about movements and progressions. Was very conscious of how the other guys played to write this, even a fill or two were grabbed directly from what the drummer used to play, the 2nd guitar lines were all harmonised a bit cause that's what he did, but the bass was hardest, the bass player used to play so damn hard and lots of melodic add ons to the main riffs. Not easy.
Close to maxing out file size here, had to do variable bit rate encoding to get it under 16mb.
Worked really hard on the other guitar tone, because by the end I was using all tube amp gain, but the other guy used a digital metal zone forever, and they aren't the easiest thing to work with lol. Just managed to get the mid-brittleness he used to love, and even had to add some delay to his rhythm tone (which I NEVER do) but he did, so had to be.
Pedals:
T Rex Diva Drive: Just a classy pedal, "Cheap Boutique" TS Style overdrive, but with mix and focus switches, probably one of my favourite overdrives in my whole collection.
MXR Super Comp: A bit more forgiving than the dynamic comps style I have been using previously, but also seems to add some dirt to your clean tone, so less choke, but more grit.
Line 6 DM4 Distortion Modeller: Lots of options for dirt, I remember really liking the fuzz sound, but when I needed a digital metal zone without buying an old Boss Multieffect, this pedal brought the crust!
