Not Feeling Myself

Just too tired this week, went a bit hard the past 2 weeks so dragged it down to generic rock riffs and 1 tempo. But served a dual purpose, cause I wanted to explore the Marshall style distortion again, and definitely found if a Marshall style amp doesn't suit me, then I should play something that suits the Marshall. So got out my new Peavey Butcher (a JCM800 Clone), didn't max the gain and tried to do the rock'n'roll thing, and I think got a much better tone by writing within the amps limitations. Still not my thing, but trying to learn what the amp is good for.

generic rock is fine!
6 weeks left!

That beginning and some of the slower parts are more of a ‘soulful grunge’ than ‘generic rock’ to me smile you crunch quite tastefully here heart

Maybe next week you should get back to your comfort zone, this is nice, but dissociation isn't

"Just too tired this week" he says, as he casually shits out a rock song of a higher grade than most rock bands can do in 3 months. lol

Way too kind brother, its not like you havent knocked out a quick banger yourself fairly often too lol I still reckon its all about using the 4 chord patterns we know work to do this kind of stuff.
