Butchering Rock Music

The Butcher was originally going to be a Joe Satriani signature, I think I gave this story in WB22, but short answer, a custom hot rodded JCM800 circuit. To me it does stay very Marshall like, but is low noise, gets a decent amount of gain without having to be pushed too loud and I could push the mids without it sounding too boxy.

Really wanted to do a pop rock but heavy tune, continuing my heavy when shouldn't be heavy songs. Tried to do more octaves instead of 5ths, and to practice harmony bits which Im not heaps good at. Not every idea worked here, but hey, good enough!

Yeah, good enough indeed. Agreed this has Marshall vibes. I like the tone quite a bit.

It works great to me. I really like that last part at 3m15.

Rock on!
