A Pet Peeve That I'm Monitoring

Couple of things this week, song in G Minor, cause goddamn if I don't use E and A too much, secondly I have new monitors, so still learning how they sound, these have room correction so Im hopeful I can clean up my low end, I did suspect my lows were messy because of my room positioning, so over the next few weeks as I get them dialled in, I reckon I will get a cleaner, but fuller bottom end.

Amp for this week is another classic, the mighty and reliable Peavey 6505. When this baby came out it really did change guitar sounds for the new age, and although I don't use it for the huge tight lows, lots of bands still use a derivative of the 5150/6505 template to get some massive dirt tones. I'm way more interested in the cut it gives, I always prefer my sound to be a bit more abrasive than big on the low end, but the 5150 style formula can give some absolutely razor sharp distortion, this amp can be used from anything modern like periphery to the most offensive cut like Marduk or similar.

Its clean channel still sucks a bit, but I managed to get a workable tone for the intro.

Yeah that intro sounds good. G-minor sounds amazing, absolutely love that riff you introduce around 2:05 and then things really get cooking. What kind of drums are you using? They sound absolutely perfect as well.

Too kind! Slate drums is all I use, but really did have to go over them with a fine tooth this week, with the new speakers Im hearing a lot more of the drums and they needed some love.

sounds incredible, favorited and downloaded. I'd listen to this all day long

Mmmm, that's that good good sounding sound. Love the intro, it sounds fine. Love everything else too, it sounds fine as well with a lot going on.
