Failure at Midi Sync Cafe

By NWSPR on February 11, 2024 11:59 pm

Well, there is a whole bunch of weird stuff going on that happened with the sequencing in Logic and I only had a few minutes left so I did a Hail Mary pass (appropriate for a Super Bowl Sunday) and uploaded without hearing what would happen.  Kind of melts down at the end... I won't try and pretend it was intentional but kind of funny.  Better luck next time!

i like the ending, concise and honest smile
the beat rocks! this is all that matters in life heart

The beat doubled with the synth and then the vintage synth chords are just a delight. It feels like the intro to an epic album!

Hell yeah, still feeling the 80s vibes

The start is great, and the whole tune feels like the music playing during a montage sequence in an 80s movie, including the end taking the montage into an unexpected place smile

Ha i was getting the montage vibes too with the zoom on the pigskin as it spirals thru the air sorta thing smile  I like the lil added delay on the drums.  Oooh the piano uses it nicely too.  Always enjoy the atmospheres you create with your synths.

wow, there's something so enticing in there... the 80s sound, the pop, upbeat, anxious vibe... so much narrative in such a short song, kudos!

80's retro futurism at its finest.  Love the vocoder-like sounds.  Are they vocoders?  I think the end actually works okay.

Awesome how you have nailed the electrified dancingmoodfeeling of humans back then, who were innocently happy with VHS tapes, neoncolour clothing and weird haircuts. Pure nostalgia for me.

Thanks for listening to my midi meltdown y'all.  Some have asked how I get the true 80s sound.  It's all in the leg warmers and wristbands.  Can't record without them!

And yet, it all sounds just fine.
