Unfinished Synth Pop #34

By NWSPR on August 23, 2020 11:58 pm

Hey, apologies for not listening to tracks this week.  I have a deadline for the Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival and I have about 150 films to screen.  Anyways, this one is dedicated to Gab Manette who dropped out earlier this year to finish up some EPs but I'm missing his fresh weekly synth wave contributions a whole bunch.

Be back next week.  Hope all is well.

The synth hits at the beginning are so 80s. A lot to love here. The rubber lead melody is my favorite in this track. And for some reason I loved the drum tom break at 1:05, with this awesome 80s sound.

Gab Manette has a way to write instant classic 80s sitcom scores indeed!

You seem to be very buisy at the moment. Great not to neglect our weeklybeats community. Nice pop.

Very nice take on the 80's synth pop. smile I just sent a message to Gab with the track link, hope he'll be happy to listen to it!

I'll have to try at least one by the end of the year... Not sure with which plugins start (free if possible, I'll use dexted for sure).

Aah, that's a lovely cheerful track indeed! heart Tom fills to warm my heart ^_^

Captured that upbeat 80's vibe perfectly.  I would have thought I was listening to a Gab Manette track honestly.  Good luck on the film festival!

Excellent synth pop that I know Gab would be proud of.  Oh look there he is!  I blame Netflix for giving me visions of Stranger Things scenes whenever I hear good synth pop.  Which this is def giving me fun mall vibes.  Well done!

It's like he never left. Either that or his absence in the lineup is just that noticeable.

It's what they're for, that's why they're called Tom fills. I choose to believe this.

Ahh Gab, come on back we miss you!  My tom fills are a weak facsimile! Hope all's well in the rockin synth wave world!

I'm using a lot of plugins native to Logic X because I suck at installing new ones and getting them to work!  Thanks for the shout out to Gab.  Good to hear from him.

Thanks! Stranger Things is great inspiration for well done synth sound track work.  I watched a few independent scifi films on Netflix that seem to have picked up on the trend. It's good to hear that vintage pop sound!

Yeahhhhh, love this one man.  Those drum fills are perfect.
