The Weak, The Meek, And The Dishonest

By NWSPR on June 10, 2018 11:15 pm

Getting greasy with 3 tracks of Moog Grandmother bass and KingKorg horns... and a surprise ending reprising last week's track.

On a lighter note, I believe we, the U.S.A., may be declaring war on Canada. Could get rough, but I'm sure our new North Korean allies will be there to back us up. Lately, I feel we, the U.S.A., is trapped in a bizzaro reverse remake of 1980s "Red Dawn" movie.

Hope your week is a good one!

Yeah definitely still has some 80's goodness like last week.  Also I think your theory about an impending war with Canada just might be true at the rate we're going.  yikes

Love that powerful and articulate bass. The US has attempted to invade Canada on several occasions, to little effect.

But you're right: with Kim jung-un at our side, we can't lose.

Yep bass is very nice in sound!
And that loose piano chords are my favored detail...
Wait now that final melody kicks in... Definitly back to the 80s
Awsome smile

Very nice 80´s vibe... love those brassy sounds. Great stuff as was the one last week smile

this is super 80's. great synths and bass, yes, but the composition is really nice, too.  that end hook is catchy as all heck

Love that Grandmother + King Kong combo!

Album cover of the album entitled "holy cow" ?  I'm into it.

But which one am I?

Great song though, slap some robo vocals and you've got some serious New Wave Solar Powered Robots going.

Superb song, love the melody!

Thanks! Well we made it through the week without attacking Canada, so that's something!

Moog Grandmother supplying the bass. Fun playing around with it since it is my latest acquisition. Lot of bass for the buck!

Where can I get a solar powered cow with a new wave hairdo?

Definitely the Dishonest, because you never have said, NWSPR, work on your weak ass mixes and your drum machine has other settings than 4/4. smile

Thanks! I kind of went out on a jazzy limb (for me) smile

But your weak ass mixes and 4/4 settings is just what makes you what you are.

True, those are my signature moves. Plus, I got to keep something in the tank for Weekly Beats 2026. That's when I roll out my 3/4 and 6/8 time signatures. smile

80s in totally the right way.  There's kind of a teen-prom-flick with dark undertones going on here...  Excellent work!

(And yeah...it's a very weird and dark time in the US here...)

Can't wait for 2058 when you start doing 5/4.
