The Swarm

This week I dabbled with a darker sounding industrial gothic track that is very rhythmic and allowed me to have fun on the Arturia BeatStep Pro roller / looper control during live play. This track is 100% BeatStep Pro and Logic. To me this sounds like a mix between one of Gary Numan's goth tracks and a horror movie sound track. Either Bees or Zombies... not sure.  I hear a synthetic swarming sound in the chorus parts that just kind of happened so I called it "The Swarm" to make it sound intentional smile

Awesome rhythm that really propels this thing forward.  There is an insect like buzzing quality to some of the synths as well as an ominous undertone like the bees are invading!

Description is most apt, really getting those Gary vibes, I think it's that nice string pad you got going. Love the perc choice with the congas and these well felt kick breaks big_smile

Yes, all that's missing is Numan's strangely robotic whine. Good job!

fun!

great drive in this... sounds very complete and directed. Good show!

It's a swarm of funky jams.

Great use of the BeatStep!

You mentioned Gary Numan, and it made me really crave some deadpan vocals over this!  smile

Big swarm of goth dancers ready for a night out! Nice big sounds. I was head bobbing by the end. Wanted to get out of my chair and dance fight with this guy across the way. Damn open offices.
