Stop While You're a Head

By NWSPR on November 20, 2022 11:53 pm

Last week I was tuning into some super nice bass guitar playing on other peoples tracks and it made me want to play bass.  So I started there and laid down some random bass parts focusing on tone and landed with this Pet Shop Boys inspired track that strays into Faith No More territory towards the end. Monotonous but kind of groovy. I used Fender Precision bass and then laid down some moog bass pad that comes in after several phases. Then layers of guitar.

Damn dude, I love the shit out of this.  Such a jam!  Love how the intensity builds the whole way though.

Epic dancey time! This is so good heart

Bass grooves are always fun to build on.  I like how the different elements come in over the course of the track and really create some awesome energy.

this was massive.

Oooh i really loved that track! The choice of sounds in the intro makes it sound like a party (especially the hand drums like percussions) but the minor scale makes it all nostalgic. That section from 0:49 is really epic. What a track! One of my favorites of the year! That bass is seriously groovy!

The bass is great, but your guitar game is just epic, I always did enjoy it when you layered it with piano

Woah! did not really expect that funk at first, but yesss feeling this, tasty riff there. The then the solar robots big epic sound comes, hell yes here we goooo, what a ride.

Excellent groovey dance vibes with a bit of nostalgia but oooh when the drums and guitar get switched on! \m/  Really cool intense build up as well.
