Quarantine (You Are My Everything)

This week, I wrote a love song about a girl named Quarantine. We're stuck in a destructive relationship but can't find a way out.
The song could be punk rock, southern rock or emo. Originally it was going to be a New York Dolls style proto-punk song, and you can still hear a bit of that in the bones of the song, but the amp modeling for metal guitars is so much more, more, more, I went a different direction in the end.
I was able to get my USB Interface and recording gear back up and running after last week's issues. Basically, it's memory and hard drive issues but now I know how to deal with it a bit better. With the ability to record live instruments restored, I fell back on my Gibson Ripper Bass and Reverend 6 String, piano, organ and a bit of harmonica. Drums were sequenced in Logic X's drum designer.
Just had to pause to clap and bang pots and pans out the front door. Something all the neighbors are doing at 7:00 sharp in Brooklyn, New York, and many places around the world. It's a tribute to first responders, doctors, nurses, and all the people working to help everyone through the pandemic. But it has also become a bright spot in the day where we get to see our neighbors and have fun making noise with the kids.
Hope you are all well, and coping with Quarantine. Admittedly she's a bitch but she's what we got. See you in the comments!
