Cinematic Love Interest

By NWSPR on February 27, 2022 10:44 pm

Not to inspired this week so I dabbled with trying to create imaginary background music for a film with some kind of uplifting motif.  Got out the BBC strings and replaced the sampled bass with real bass.  I thought a fake bass would sound better but it did not. Happy I replaced it.  Work has been busy.  We're getting ready to present at SXSW conference in a week in a half and realizing I've done nothing!  I'll need to lay low for a few weeks until this conference is done then hope to have more time for music.

Hope everyone is well!

This has an epic triumphant and uplifting vibe.  I could see it playing at the end of a sports movie when the scrappy underdog team pulls off an unlikely upset over the top ranked team that's full of super talented players who are also major jerks and thoroughly deserve the loss.  Or, as the title suggests, a movie scene where the protagonist finally kisses their longtime crush.

I could not find better words for this epic piece of candymusic.

Honestly, it kinda sounds like the kind of music a corporation would consider "inspirational", but I'm here for it anyway

My 8yo son was in the room while i was playing your track and he started bopping his head and dancing. He approves of this track. smile

As CosmicCairns said, this track is uplifting and positive, it smells of a Spring vibe.

Good luck for SXSW conference!

that's awesome that you are doing SXSW!  hope to meet you there one day (maybe next year?)

nailed it

The synth bass and pads sound so good.  A very upbeat and soothing feel to it.  Good luck at SXSW!

I'm not big on sports so I think the latter.  Not that I'm that good with romance either!

Kind of like one of those posters with a sunrise or a winding river and an inane quote about teamwork? Now I'm depressed.

Lol... Good to hear my track was appreciated by tour son. Thanks! My boy is 12 and likes any music associated with superhero movies... trying to get him to play an instrument but no such luck (yet)

Yeah, but going to SXSW for work sad not music smile But will be cool to check it out.  So far I've had client recommend when in Austin, TX, go see the bats, eat a late night peanut butter sandwich at the Driscol hotel, and something about ghosts tours. I'll let you know...

Thanks!  I'll be at the creative expo for work promoting our video on demand product and SciFi film festival. Have to figure out how to do next week's music submission remotely.

what is the work thing if I may ask?

also i love bats

My best client tip the bats is to watch from the top of the congress street bridge and not from the lower part (looking up with your mouth open).  I think bats are fascinating from a distance.  Love to watch them but would run screaming if one flew at me smile

I have a small tech company that builds streaming video platforms and ecommerce solutions. Basically "Netflix" style sites for film distributors, film festivals, as well as ecommerce sites to sell their DVDs and Blu-rays (still a huge market) and we have some virtual fitness clients. We also started our own film festival in 2020.  I'm going to exhibit, network, and try and learn more about the industry in general. We have a booth and a bunch of swag... so conventiony kind of stuff as part of the Creative Expo and Film Festival portions of SXSW.

Long answer but I'm completely immersed in this stuff right now. I would complain but I'm talking to the guy that is delivering consistently awesome music & videos while working and preparing for live shows.  I don't know how you do it and keep the quality of work and creativity.

Awesome man, love the sounds in this one.  The epic leads, heavy bass and the little sparkles on top are perfect together.

hope all goes well at sxsw!

this is like totally gnarly awesome radical dude!

let's try that again

Yes, the tune for all the scenes. I like a song like this for a love interest scene, show me that movie now. Cool how you swapped the bass in the BBC strings, it sounds great, nice "hack". Hope SXSW is good, it's back, yay! Your company sounds cool. I still have not gone, one day perhaps. I work in tech as well, B2B software, no SX presence for us. Enjoy!

That bass! heart Feels way too sure of itself to associate with a "love interest" but that's where you're a step ahead of me, I see -- not real love interest, but a cinematic one!
