Backwards Riding Bicycle

By NWSPR on January 28, 2024 11:50 pm

Another synthy track primarily hand played on my new best friend, the Sequential Prophet Rev 2 with a combo of Rev 2 drums sounds and a Sequential DrumTraks plugin in Logic that keeps everything in the 80s Sequential Circuits vibe.  Hope all's well!

Love the energy on this.  Sounds like a thrilling backwards bike ride.

great synth tones, love the energy. reminds me a bit of smalltown boy which is one of my fave 80s synth tracks!

This is a great synthwave track - urgent, dark, and very catchy! I love the heavy drums

Nice, massive synth sounds ! Prophet rev2 is one of my dream synths and this track confirms my thoughts about it.
I agree with Bleeop on the small town boy comparison, you really nailed that 80s feeling

I use a drumtraks in real, but do not recognize it here. The snare is very different. But your beat fits very good to the synth, how it is.

Oh yea, love the motion in this.

Riding a bike backwards is dangerous. That's exactly the vibe of this track. Dangerous. Like I'm running away from (or to) something? Things get real serious at 1:20! Then I can take a breath at 2:09. Nice work.

That riff that starts at 0:37 is so infectious. I can picture robots on the dance floor moving in sync. Like these good old robots that use to be sold for the NES. The dark section in the middle, with the descending pad brings in a different vibe, we're still at the club but it's much darker. Nice break at 2:15! That was a beautiful track.

Hooked me, and now I'm doing the backwards bicycle dance - which is a little dangerous. Sounds are so great! I listened to some depeche mode this morning, did they use a Prophet I wonder. Something in this made me think that. I think the bassline here, yeah. This is fun, great arrangement and changes happening too. thanks.

enjoyed this!

Love those PHAT sequential circuits sounds! Great craft in sculpting a very evocative track heart

Damn, this is cool as hell.  You're getting some really cool sounds out of that thing.  Really cool bass tones on this one, I've be struggling to make any cool bass patches on my Take 5.

If they ever remake RAD this would fit perfect in a montage smile  The prophet sounds extra sweet!  Ooooh the gritty patch midway thru so good!
