Throwback

I felt like doing a late-90s/early-2000s-era Trance track.

I am not completely satisfied with how it turned out. I mainly struggled with adding that 90s/00s cheesyness while not overdoing it and making sure the whole track is not too overcrowded and does not sound crappy (not sure how well I succeeded here). I must have completely changed the main synth at least around 10 times and ultimately decided to go with something as basic as possible.

It's not what I had initially envisioned on creating, but a finished track is a finished track I guess big_smile

I feel like the cheese here is of a slightly more mature vintage, as in it's from late 70s disco / pop. Works, and not a genre I'm really fond of.

Now that's some serious unz unz B)

Big nostalgia in those tones. I don't think you made it cheesy at all, it was very tasteful reference.

there's a lot going on in the composition, I like the various sections and movements! no idea if it captures 90s cheesiness, I was but a wee lad. didn't give me a particular vibe of a time period. seems pretty jolly tho!

I am glad to hear this. End of 90s/beginning of 00s Trance often had this cheesy element, but it was not cheesy enough to be considered bad. It was right at the edge of being too much. I am glad to heard that I managed to capture that!

Glad you like it ♥️

The opening synth immediately hit that 90s feels for me heart uplifting chords and sweet Juno Reactor, Underworld vibes.
