Arrangement

By Nerv_hum on January 14, 2024 10:43 pm

I'm currently doing The Producers Path class at the moment. My teacher recommended to me to make the ''Arrangement Excercise'' to improve my song structures and narrative. It consists in taking a track that you enjoy by am artist of you choice. Take the track and put it in your DAW of choice and find the bpm. Once you got the track lined up you star noting all the changes occuring in the song creating new tracks with empty audio clip at each new sound or change.

It's a really helpful exercise. My track was ''Nosaj Thing - Sci''.

I broke the entire song down and after that i use the song structure to make a song of my own with it. Turns out i added and removed a couple of things from the original structure. The beat is pretty similar but the chord progression and melodic elements are completely different.

I'm really proud of this one. Hope some of you will enjoy
In any case, thanks for giving it a listen!

Thanks really appreciate you taking the time to listen to the track. The exercise is very informative and great to get to know songs in detail. There's sounds in the Nojas Thing track i did even know were there until i did this break down.

Hey! merci man!

This is very athmospheric as it is....
