Noise Pig #4

By NeonRebar on July 6, 2024 3:43 pm

So I am trying to find some uses for a bunch of field recordings of ambient sounds and noise I've made over the years.  Usually they just turn into some kind of percussion thing and no one notices. This is the 4th of a bunch I made this week. It uses a dragged piece of metal on my garage floor that I tried to use as a kind of pedal tone but I dont think it works. I totally went of rail and fell back on guitar stuff, so fail on that.
Incorporating noise and found sound into music in an organic sense and a not 'Einstürzende Neubauten or Art of Noise' fashion is a challenge. Add that I dont know where I want to go with it yet either so everything is an experiment.
The 'pig' classification comes from one of the sounds I have of a mower starting that sounds like a pig grunting.

Awesome sound experiments and textural work here! big_smile

I like how you've taken this in an industrial-dub direction. Nice stuff!

Love this, especially the soundscape that is created by all those field/ambient sounds
