Back to the M8 this week, and I love this track. I dunno, I just do.

There are some crispy bits in the delay and reverb that mastering brought out a little more than I would have liked and honestly I don't entirely understand? I probably need to look at my delay/reverb levels but hey, out of time, and that can wait for when I chuck all these tracks into Ableton and destroy them and make an album.

It's got a full journey to it and all the feels, I hope you like it.

Next week, and-now-for-something-completely-different, I've been wiring up a live setup with my Digitakt, Norand Mono and Bass Station II, and I'm hoping to make a live track and video performance. Because in the meantime, M8 time will be spent fixing past tracks for stem-rendering towards the aforementioned album. We shall see. It's gonna be a time management thing more than anything.

Nice motion, good mix (again going pretty loud on that hi-hat in the first half big_smile), the break at 2:00 nicely extending the song, the slightly overdriven acidline at 4:10 is chef's kiss.

I dig this! Really like the evolving textures in each section, and the rise and fall of energy as well - it just flowed. Definitely a journey, and one I enjoyed a lot.

It is a journey. I enjoyed riding a long. That bass, the arps, propulsive!

This is really well done and an exemplary track for this style

you are not the only one who loves it  heart

Thanks! I'm gradually tracking down my hi hat problem. It's a combination of certain things the M8 is doing with mastering issues with my apparently hearing loss around 6khz lol

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! Weekly Beats has been quite the ride in itself lol.

Thank you! I spend significantly more time listening to acid techno etc... than I making it lol. I'm getting there. It's a challenge with the M8 in some respects and easy in others.

heart heart heart I hope I can match the "feels" you get in your music one day, thanks for the love! heart heart heart

The crispiness happened to me this week too. I used a bunch more reverb than usual so maybe that's what's crisping in the mastering? i couldn't figure it out either. i don't hate it! makes me want to buy an air fryer.

Love the pads and progression in this one, really beautiful sound design. nice track!

These progressions feel so comfy, love it
