hi friends, had again limited time to make this and again am pleased with it. I think next time i do have a little bit more time i'll work on ways to make the finessing of a song faster. Did this one with Neutron, TD-3, the new lap steel and Renoise. I continue to find good ways to work with the copyright free break beats. It's not quite where i want them but i now feel confident that I will be able to get there. Congrats to everyone for getting week 23 in the history books.

love the lap steel slides with the breaks!

The lap steel is just the dreamiest sound.  I think I'd spend all day making samples lol. Your mix is so  clean and distinct it's always a joy to listen to. And you've got me checking out renoise for hardware stuff lol

Nice to hear you on the lap steel again. Now you have found an unique cosmos to explore. The hectic (no judging) drums with the dreamy glides works very well. Keep it going.

Thank you, Neon! I'm using Renoise to take samples of my hardware, then doing the production in box for the most part. I do feel like i'm getting more comfortable doing some arranging outside the box though so that could change. I'm always trying to balance learning new things with actually making music!

Thank you, Q-Rosh! I'm so glad you are digging it, i appreciate the comment and the encouragement

I'm still really digging that lap guitar, I just wish it was "there" a bit more instead of covered up in the sands of the drum beach.

nice one! hope to get a lapsteel someday  big_smile

Lapsteel sounding great! Really dig the beat, so energetic and groovy.

oooh I really like the grungy arp

the break being out of phase with it introduces a loooot of tension though, I would introduce this more gently (but the release at 00:50 is very efficient)

The lapsteel is a super nice touch! (and you get nice dissonance in the detuned slides out of it, here's another tip for you haha)
The "drop" at 1:36 is reaaaally good
