Made all the sounds myself this week except for the break. Renoise and Neutron.

Look, I'm just a guy trying to make contemporary Jungle music.

I'm outside in the cold, letting the dogs out, listening to this, words involuntarily coming out of my mouth include "geebus", "oh f*ck yeah", "holy shit", "f*ck yes", "whoa." And the dogs are confused.

It's damn good. Also that neuro jungle reesey bass at the beginning is ridiculously tasty. Meaty ear candy for days.

Maybe next week you can make the break yourself as well
Definitely a lot going on here, a nice little surprise all the time

BOOOOOH! This is some finger guns, stank face, head bobbing goodness.

Such a hard jam, lots of cool "breaths" and moments with variation. Really like the doubled kick in the drums, feels like a subtle but effective variation I'm not used to hearing on this "style" of beat. I almost missed what's going on in the sub bass, which really rounds things out too.

Nothing wrong with contemporary jungle music! The transition at 01:22 came out of nowhere big_smile

Nitpick: use some stereo in your tracks. Put some percussion to the sides, put some stereo chorus on the bass, etc. etc. That will make it sound huge. Currently everything is sitting square in the middle.

This sounds seriously fast and concentrated. Many respects to your work.

Niceeeee so many cool sounds in here.  The drums are so wild too.  Surely played by some kind of robotic octopus.

I've been thinking a lot about what you said about making the break myself. I have some recorded breaks that i did on the alesis sr16. I have tried chopping them up in the past and it didn't have life of the sampled break. I think it is worth a revisit though to see what I can do with some EQ. Thanks for the push, more to come!

Thank you so much for the close listen and the feedback, I have been thinking about it a lot. I  agree with you that it is time to add stereo to my mixing journey. thanks for the recommendations. I'm excited because i agree i think it will add a lot of interest. thank you!

love that image, thanks Chrisfoo!

Woah, very cool! That bass sits amazing in the mix!

nice! super funky, i love it!

love the little chiptune-ish trills used as accents occasionally

bassline in the first half works really well with the breaks
