Pastel Memories

By Napear on November 17, 2024 11:15 am

Ahoy hoy all.  Still trying to play catch-up getting back into the swing of doing all the things.  So this week is another solo piano, dipped in reverb... not soaked... just liberally misted.  Not much to say about the track itself... pretty simple little piece.  Basically it's an exploration of a chord progression that I lifted from a Duran Duran song (gold star to anyone who can name the track).

Hope everyone is doing well (or well enough), and I appreciate the comments from last week... I will get back around to responding and commenting on folks music once I dig myself out of the "new guy" hole (fingers crossed it will be next week, Thanksgiving can't come soon enough)

i love when i can feel my blood pressure calm when listening to a song.
thanks, buddy. hoping for pockets of rest for you

Love those smooth pianos.

Sad solo piano music is my spirit animal. I love this, super pretty, very well done!!!

Just the right amount of verbage imho smile  The ostinatos are calming but the melody is beautiful and haunting.  Hope the new job is going well!  Hang in there!

A very relaxing journey.

I'm really glad it had that effect.  This one was a pleasure to make.  It's always nice to dig into solo piano compositions... it fun to get lost in the harmonies, and the theory elements... it's one of the only times I feel like I'm "creating" music and not just kind of "discovering" it.

Same... hard same... literally every time I sit down at a piano, no matter what I aim to do with it... there is an obligitory 3-7 minutes of sad boy piano that has to happen (´∀`). And thank you for the kind words.

Thanks.  Listening back I'm pretty pleased with the melody on this one.  I might revisit the left hand at some point, but I'm glad it gets the Tone Matrix Verbage stamp of approval.  The first few weeks of the new gig have been pretty ok.
